Yes. That's right. First pitch of the new season is thrown in 43 hours. Baseball season that is. Cubs Baseball. The only baseball i follow The only baseball that matters.
I get to put on my cubbie blue for the first time this year. It's already making me smile. Cubbie blue, baseball, sunshine. Beer, friends, hot dogs, cheering fans, happiness.
The Cubs start off their season in Atlanta against the Braves. And I will be there. With my jersey on and my spirits high. Baseball is my religion. Wrigley field is my Mecca.
I'm currently at working, my shift ending at 7am and I start again at 1p tomorrow to work 12 hours and then jump in my car for the 12 plus hour ride. My travelling companions will be The Whorenado and her boyfriend. That should be interesting. We're stopping in Kentucky to pick up Aborama and her boy friend Kentucky. He is what you think of when you think of Kentucky. Then is 6 more hours to heaven. Have a hotel room reserved to freshen up, suit up, and stock up on booze.
Maybe I'll be able to post through my hangover on the way back.
